COMMUNITY MIDWIFE (Auckland District Health Board)
My name is Deborah Lawton and I have been a midwife and Registered Nurse for over 25 years working in a variety of settings. After completing my Plunket Nurse qualification I returned to Auckland City Hospital and have worked with women with high-risk diabetic pregnancies until my recent secondment to the community clinic at Greenlane Hospital site looking after women with normal pregnancies. I am hoping to continue in this role and may job share with my midwifery colleague Cherry Probert-Pascoe in 2018 who has been working at Victoria Park Medical Practice until a recent secondment to Auckland Hospital for six months. I am married with three adult sons and a growing number of grandchildren.
